I dreamt I was in a dance competition. Throughout the competition I was by myself and I was up against people who I thought were prettier and better than me. When it was my turn to go out and dance, I was did all sorts of flips and splits and danced more beautifully than I ever had. I kept having to push through people and watched people copying me, sneering at me, and being super catty. The last song was “Independence Day” by Martina McBride. I danced my heart out because it reminded me of my divorce from my abusive ex husband. At the end of the dance I showed off my tattoo with my Purple Heart for narcissistic abuse. I ended up making it through to the next round and no one in the room was happy for me. They were all jealous. But I was so proud of myself.
